Good afternoon from a café in Sky City, Auckland!

samena and I arrived here safely yesterday after a very long and exhausting day of travel. Vic from Red Carpet Tours was very kind to pick us up from the airport and drive down to our hotel.

Well, samena and I have arrived safely in LA, and are now wide awake since 6am because of jetlag. The flight was exhausting and I was about ready to crash when we got here, but of course we had to stay awake to keep off jetlag... which we failed at spectacularly ( Read more... )

First of all: THE HOBBIT! EEEEE! Apparently they're going to start shooting in New Zealand right when samena and I are going to be there. I spent the day with samena today, planning our holiday in New Zealand next February. It's going to be so much fun! Plus, now that the Hobbit's been safeguarded against deportation (*shudder*) and will definitely remain in NZ (YAY!), it's bound to be even more exciting as filming starts while we're there! Apparently there is some big debate going on whether or not The Hobbit will be made in New Zealand. For me there is no question about it: it can be made nowhere else BUT in New Zealand.
